Dr. Anzaldua attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, for his undergraduate studies. He obtained his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine, then completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Following residency, he completed his General and Interventional Nephrology Fellowship at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the ABIM.
Dr. Armstrong attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, for his undergraduate studies. He obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, completed a family practice internship with Indiana University Medical Center, and did his Internal Medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital. He has held board certifications in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
Dr. Armstrong has specialized in Internal Medicine since 1987. He currently serves as a hospitalist at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He has managed patients in the nursing home setting his entire professional career.
Internal Medicine, Wound Care Specialist
Dr. Davis attended Prairie View A&M University in Texas for her undergraduate studies, and then obtained her medical degree from University of Louisville, Kentucky. She did her residency training at the Maricopa Medical Center in Arizona and is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Davis is also a certified wound specialist since 2005. She has previous experience as a hospitalist and in primary care. Dr. Davis is licensed to practice in Arizona and Indiana. She has privileges and practices in wound centers at multiple hospitals in the Indianapolis area.
Dr. Pushpala attended Loyola College in Madras, India for his undergraduate studies and obtained his medical degree from Madras (Chennai) Medical College. He obtained a Masters in Public Health from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He did surgery and family medicine residency programs in New York and then relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana with his family, and completed an additional family medicine residency in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Pushpala is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Pushpala has experience in private practice, immediate and urgent care, occupational medicine, and as a clinical medical director with CSL Plasma. Dr. Pushpala speaks four languages and calls Indianapolis, Indiana his home.
Ms. Armstrong obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Marian University and then completed her Physician Assistant studies at Butler University in Indianapolis. Ms. Armstrong’s professional experience includes her role as a Physician Assistant with the Hospitalist Team at IU Health Methodist for ten years, where she provided care across the continuum from admission to patient evaluation and treatment. In addition to her sound clinical judgment, Ms. Armstrong provides a compassionate touch to each of her patients as she works with them to achieve their medical goals.
Senior Adult Nurse Practitioner
Ms. Arnett obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University and a Masters of Science in Nursing and Adult Nurse Practitioner degree from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis. Ms. Arnett has more than seventeen years of advance nursing experience, both in the clinical and administrative capacity, and in a variety of settings. Ms. Arnett specializes in diabetes and endocrine disorders, kidney disease, chronic illness, infectious disease and acute and rehabilitative care. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA).
Family Nurse Practitioner
Ms. Kovach completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing and obtained a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Ball State University in Fishers, Indiana and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP. Ms. Kovach has seven years of nursing experience in neonatal intensive care and progressive care. She has a passion for caring for the geriatric population.
Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
Ms. Pitts completed her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Kokomo. She then completed her Masters of Science in Nursing and obtained an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner degree from Purdue University. She has over ten years of nursing experience in multiple clinical settings, including long term care, medical surgical, and in progressive care unit. Ms. Pitts has a special affinity for providing medical care to the veteran population.
Ms. Tiffin obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College, Terre Haute, Indiana, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, Magna Cum Laude. She then proceeded to graduate from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky with a Master in Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP. Ms. Tiffin has practiced nursing in Illinois and Indiana in long-term care and med/surg settings. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty where she teaching nursing students.
Adult Nurse Practitioner
Ms. Bell is an Adult Nurse Practitioner who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marian College and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Ball State University. She has vast nursing clinical experience in the acute care settings, including interventional radiology, nuclear medicine (cardiac testing), trauma, emergency unit care, cardiac progressive and surgical care, and endocrinology and dialysis patient care.
Ms. Joest is a licensed practice nurse who has more than thirty years of professional nursing experience, both in the office setting and in nursing facilities. She has focused the last twenty years of her practice in geriatric care. Ms. Joest provides clinical and administrative support to the providers in our group. Ms. Joest is also certified as a professional coder with the AAPC. She trains and audits Access Health Professional providers to ensure proper clinical documentation and coding of our patients’ charts.
Chief Officer of Operations and Legal Affairs
Ms. Lutes serves as the leader of operations and legal services for Access Health Professionals. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University and her juris doctorate, cum laude, from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Prior to joining AHP, Ms. Lutes worked for almost fifteen years in private practice law, concentrating on insurance defense coverage and litigation matters. She handled state and federal trials, hearings, motions practice, mediations, and arbitrations. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and Indiana Medical Group Management Association.
Patient Care Coordinator
Ms. Kress has been with Access Health Professionals since its inception, where she serves as a Patient Care Coordinator. Ms. Kress schedules patient visits, assists with chart notes, labs, referrals, and medical documents, and frequently communicates with patients, families, and facility staff members. Originally from Indianapolis, she graduated from Indiana University with a degree in English. She also has a degree in Theatre Arts from Indiana University. Prior to her work with AHP, Ms. Kress worked for several years in the not-for-profit arts sector.
Ms. Schwegman attended Indiana University where she obtained a degree in psychology. Ms. Schwegman has worked with our group as a Medical Assistant since 2017, providing administrative support to our physicians and advance practice providers. She also regularly communicates with patients, family members, and the staff members of the facilities where we treat patients.
Ms. Jones attended Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, Indiana, and obtained an Associate’s Degree. She is certified in dental assisting and as a billing and coding specialist. Ms. Jones provides administrative support to our physicians and advance practice providers in our West Lafayette practice.
